POLYRESIN DOLLHOUSE DOLLS |
 |
THE DOLLHOUSE PEOPLE
|
Some miniaturists don't like the polyresin version of dolls, because you can't move their legs or arms. Well, that might be a reason, but not for me. I prefer these to other handmade porcelaine or vinyl dolls, because in my personal opinion, they look much more realistic. Most handmade dolls (with a few exceptions of course) look kind of strange once they're dressed. Somehow, unreal.
Well, everybody should go for what pleases him or her the most.
For whatever kind of doll you might decide, let me tell you that once a dollhouse or roombox is finished, the dolls are definitely adding life to the whole scene. I made a few pics of mine to share what I mean :-)
There are of course some very talented miniaturist making wonderful dolls, my personal favorite is James Carrington. Take a look at the LINK Section to find your way to his website.

Mom's preparing dinner. I though that this kitchen only started to look like a real kitchen once the doll was set in place.
