PERFUME BOTTLES
|
While making the furniture for my italian dollhouse living room, I thought it might be a nice idea that the lady of the house would be a collector. But what could she possibly collect ? As I looked around in my workplace, I saw the beads and jewelry findings I had collected over the years and I did remember an article I once read about how to make perfume bottles out of that stuff.
So I thought that this lady might enjoy collecting perfume bottles from all over the countries she had travelled to in the past years. I think, by taking a closer look at this piece of furniture, you will discover a lot of very exotic looking perfume bottles.
By the way, the furniture was made mostly out of scratch.

CANDLE HOLDERS
|
The idea to make those candle holders comes from one of the books describing differents techniques to make all kinds of dollhouse accessoires. All you need are a few beads, some jewellery findings, 2 candles made of fimo and a couple of old glass bottons.

DOOR HANDLES
|
When I finished this wardrobe, it was just so colorful compared to the old one and I decided to make new handles. Here again, I had great help from my books about D.I.Y. projects and handles is something you can create from beads too.

JUST TO EMBELLISH
|
When I had already finished painting the bed, I suddenly came up with the idea to put on a few beads, just to embellish the whole thing.

MORE PERFUME BOTTLES

All these tiny little perfume bottles have been made from beads and little caps and other jewellry findings of different shapes, sizes and colors. It is definitely a job where you will need a steady hand, a lot of patience and ..... you should not be afraid to get some glue on your fingers. Headpins are of course a usefull item to keep the beads on top of each other. I have tried to glue them without holding them with a pin and it was a mess.
After you finish you bottles, you will probably also need to clean your tweezers, using special liquids for that pupose .... so think about handling those with care and keeping these bottles away from children.

BOTTLES
|
As you can see here, you may even fill an entire little shelf with your bottles. In this picture, I used flat rectangular beads, added a little top and they can easily go through as those fancy bottles some people use in their bars, filled with all sorts of alcoholic beverages.

EXOTIC THINGS
|
The possibilities of what you can do with some beads, caps and other jewellry findings are endless, I guess if you just let your imagination go beyond the usual, you can do a lot of intersting things.
These 2 ecru beads were from a necklace that broke and I kept them, because I knew one day, they might come in handy.
In fact, I remember a vacation in Italy where I saw a couple of bottles in a shop, didn't really know what they were meant to be, but they just looked great, so I tried to recreate them from memory and they came out as something you can use anywhere in your dollshose for decoration purposes.
