THE WINE CELLAR |
THE MINIATURE WINE CELLAR FOR MY HUBBY
My husband has finally got his wine cellar in our actual house, something he'd always wanted to have. And of course, the idea came up to make one in miniature too. It has working lights, the glasses and bottles have all been purchased of course, but almost all the furniture has been made from scratch. Take a little tour and have a look at different stages of my work.

BUILDING IN PROGRESS
At this stage, I had just finished the piece of furniture that was supposed to be the WINE BAR. Other than that, I moved things around from one side to the other and couldn't really decided how it would look in the end.

MAKING THE STONE FLOOR
My Wine Cellar is not supposed to be a shop or anything like it, it's a private room, in the cellar of a house, just like the one we have in real life. That's why I decided to make the floor look like old stones.
For this technique, I used the MAGIC STONES system, which is available for bricks and other stones too.

THE WALLS
The walls are made with the same MAGIC SYSTEM for stones as the floor. In my opinion, it's the best thing to use when it comes to cellar's.

THE ENTRANCE
As you can see here, I added a few nice touches to make this little wine cellar look exceptional and unique. The entrance to the cellar is covered with stones (which you can buy ready to use by 50 or 100), and the side wall is full of little wine tabs, scaled to size and printed.

THE WINE RACK IN PROGRESS
This pic gives you an idea of what I was talking about earlier, when I said how time consuming it was to build the racks.

THE WINE RACKS
I am especially proud of these wine racks, which I made myself. All the wood comes from my big left-over box. The little racks where the bottles have been placed in where not really difficult to make, once I had figured out more or less how many I would need, but it was very time consuming.
But I guess, that's what this hobby is all about, don't you think ?

THE BAR
Here's the finished bar, one of the main pieces of furniture on the wine cellar. It's lighted of course, as the rest of the roombox. It was so much fun to add all the bottles, glasses, cheese, bread, etc.

THE BAR PART 2
This is the other side of the bar, filled with lots of goodies, ready for the party to begin.

RONNY'S MINIATURE WINE CELLAR
At this stage, I think, everything had already found it's place and it really started to look nice.

REAL WINE
Believe it or not, there is actually real wine in this tiny little bottle. You can purchase those in different miniature online shops on the Net. There is even a certificate that comes with the bottle with a detailed description of the wine inside the bottle.

SIT AND ENJOY
Doesn't this look like a cosy little place to sit and enjoy some wine with a little bread and cheese ?
