My name is Danielle, I am 44 years old, I'm happily married and I think I could say that I'm lucky to live a happy life. The only thing that I always wish for is to be able to make a living out of my hobby. But I do live in a country where that hobby is not a very common thing. Maybe the Internet could be helpful here, who knows. For a start, this is just going to be a personal website where I want to share what I love and know about miniatures.

I started with the first house almost 10 years ago now, meanwhile I have 5 and I need to think about selling them, because they need a lot of space around the house. But it's just so difficult to get rid of them. I put so much time, love and money of course in every single project. It would probably be like giving away a little piece of my heart.

Since I was a little kind, I always had the crush on anything mini. I collected miniature glasses an bottles, I even started a Swarowski crystal collection, but only the very tiny stuff of course. In fact, my husband Ronny came up with the idea one day when whe passed by a store with a wonderful dollhouse in the window. He went inside and bought a little box, me wondering what could be in it.

Well, it was a kit for a piece of furniture from Mini Mundus and without really having all the appropriate material, I rushed home and started right away to put all the pieces together, painting, sanding, etc. and I was so fascinated by that little piece of furniture, I just couldn't stop anymore. I guess I never will. Once you get into that hobby, it's too late : you can never ever escape from that mini-world anymore.

So be warned ! You will become an addict, just like me ..................

This is my husband Ronny with a very good friend of mine, Evelyne and her daughter Ania. We've only met about 3 years ago, but she had a place in my heart right from the very first day I've met her. She is a kind and good person and I really love to spend time with her and her daughter of course. As time passed by, her brother Frank became a friend too and we always enjoy spending a few hours together.

If I remember right, I think I was 15 years old when that picture was taken during a holiday on Italy with my parents, my 2 cousins and their parents and a bunch of friends. We really had a good time back then.

Hello !!!! Ladies, as you can see, my cousin Marco turned out to be quite a cuty, don't you think.

And here I am, 1 year old, looking all sad. Don't remember why though, but I guess, even back then, I did not like to have my picture taken.

When I reached my 30's, I used to think that I will probably never get married. First of all, because I did not yet meet the right guy and second, because I really wasn't the marrying kind. But look at me now. May 2005, we will be married 10 years and we're still happy and even more in love than we used to be.

We took my parents to a holiday in Greece, Rhodes, a few years ago, that's where this picture was taken. I love them both very much, they were the most wonderful parents one can have and they still are. I just pray that they will stay with us a little while longer.

These are Valerie and Denis, a couple of very good friends of ours. This pic was taken during a holiday in Tuscany. We really had a good time there and despite the fact that it was too hot, the vacation was great. I made a miniature for Valerie once, it's a bedroom with an adjacent bath, you'll find a few pics of it in ther "Roomboxes" section.

We love to make dinner for each other, our husbands both cook, at their place or at ours, and we absolutely go crazy for their "Risotto with Aspargus", hhmmm. They are also beginning construction of their new home, so there is always a lot to talk about when we're together.

Good friends in life are very important, so let's hope we'll remain friends for a very long time.

Yolande and I have been friends since the age of 17/19. She has moved to the U.S. many years ago, but we're still in touch, one way or another. And every time I'm near Florida, I do of course go and visit her.

I still miss to have you around every day, Yolanda, even after all these years.

And least but not last ........ our cat, Higgins. He's a British Shorthair Silver Shaded and he ended up with us September 2003, because we found out he was held most of the time in a cage !!! So we saved him, sort of, and I think he is very happy about it, as you can see in the pic, and we're also very happy to have him. He just loves to cuddle and play. I guess he pays us back by just loving us.
