A gift to a friend. She was so fascinated by miniatures that I asked her one day what kind of room would be her favorite and she said it would be a library with a fireplace and nice couch to sit on and read.
This is what came out of that idea.

Since this roombox had a glass front and a glass top, it allows you to have a very good view at all the details. Look at this picture from taken from above the roombox and try to see as many details as you can find.

After reading books about miniature gardening and after having found www.hankypankycrafts.com on the net, I was finally able to make plants and flowers on my own, which is of course a lot less expensive than buying them. And green plants and flowers always add some kind of final touch to the decoration of your rooms.

These tiny flowers were made out of a kit, I put them on the table with some other things to make it look like if someone just left the room for a minute.

Same technique for paintings and frames is being used here again.

The shelf is a kit from Mini Mundus, a german manufacturer of absolutely wonderful furniture.
How did I make the books ? Well, check the TIPS AND TRICKS section for that if you don't want to spend too much money on buying them all finished. It's much more fun to do those yourself, believe me.

This small hanging shelf was made out of scratch. The little gold painting on the side can be achieved in different ways, either if you're good at painting, use a gold pen and go for it, or you may use the stenceling technique, described in my T&T / DIY section
The tiffany light on the table is not working. Did you see the cat sitting next to it ? Most of the decoration here, except the plants and the books, were bought ready to be put in place.
